Salus Safety Solutions Ltd were employed by the Client to provide Health and Safety Support to the business. The support included the development of a health and safety management system and some associated training.

Breach Farm

Commissioning of a Biomass Plant

Preparations are underway at our Clients Biomass Plant ahead of the next phase of commissioning.

Overhead Line Project

Their main role is to construct a suitable and sufficient road enabling civil contractors access to Pylon foundations and undertake remediation work.

RES

Salus Safety Solutions Ltd were employed by RES to act as the Health and Safety Advisor for their Denbrook, Turncole and Garreg Lwyd Hill Wind Farm Windfarms.

SgurrEnergy

Salus Safety Solutions Ltd were employed by SgurrEnergy Ltd to act as the Principal Designer and Health and Safety Advisor on behalf of the Client Statkraft.

Tummel Bridge Power Station

Salus Safety Solutions are in the process of providing high level health and safety support to our client, Global Infrastructure Ltd, who have been appointed as Principal Contractor by SSE on the Tummel Bridge Power Station refurbishment project.

Turbine Foundations

Ground conditions are challenging and as a result cofferdams are required around all the turbine foundations.

Salus Safety Solutions have Clients and projects all over the UK and Ireland but in the past 24 months we have seen significant growth in the international renewables market. The following interactive map provides examples of some of the projects and Clients we have been supporting and advising outside the UK and Ireland. Our international works currently has two distinct scopes the first involves supporting and advising our Clients who either own or are involved in international projects and the second scope involves supporting, advising International Clients who want to set up in the UK or are going to work on a specific project in the UK.

Both scopes involve their own unique challenges for example when working on international projects we have to identify and understand local traditions and laws whilst also understanding the contractual standards contractors on the project have to meet. This means that when we visit the site we are able to engage with the local teams whilst also ensuring that the Clients needs and expectations are met.

International Clients who are going to work in the UK face many challenges, it is therefore our job to provide support and guidance from a health, safety and environmental perspective. In this instance one of our main goals is to understand the Clients philosophy, approach and culture as this will allow us to identify the best approach to effectively communicate the UK requirements they need to meet. This then allows us to help develop any process, procedures or safe systems that the Client may need whilst ensuring it fits into their current arrangements.
